"The Exit 8: 3D Liminal Space Walking Simulator Now on Android!"

The Exit 8 has made its debut on Android, offering a unique blend of elements. Developed by Kotake Create and published by Playism, this game is available for $3.99. It's a walking simulator with a twist, enveloped in an eerie atmosphere that challenges your perception with every step.

A Creepy Walking Adventure

In The Exit 8, you navigate through an endless underground passageway reminiscent of a Japanese metro station. You find yourself trapped in a loop where the tiles, lights, posters, and even a solitary man walking towards you repeat incessantly.

The core challenge lies in identifying anomalies. You might notice a poster with a different image than before, lights flickering unusually, or something as stark as a river of blood replacing the floor. The game's mechanics revolve around recognizing these subtle changes and reacting quickly.

If you spot something unusual, you must turn back. If not, you continue forward. Your objective is to reach the eighth exit without making a mistake, which means correctly identifying and reacting to anomalies eight consecutive times. Fail, and you must start over.

The Exit 8 Lets You Soak in a Surreal, Unsettling Atmosphere

The game's design draws inspiration from the concept of liminal spaces and the Backrooms. The setting is modeled after actual Japanese metro stations, such as Kiyosumi-Shirakawa Station in Tokyo, capturing the essence of claustrophobic corridors and repetitive architecture.

The Exit 8 engages you with your environment, prompting you to scrutinize every detail for signs of danger or reality distortion. This constant questioning of your memory and perception makes each playthrough uniquely unsettling.

Originally released for PC in November 2023, it took Kotake Create about nine months to develop The Exit 8. Following its launch, the game amassed 1.4 million downloads worldwide on Steam. Now available on mobile, you can download it from the Google Play Store.
