Fortnite Reload's upcoming update breaks all expectations. In just a few days, you'll battle for survival in Squid Grounds - a thrilling new map inspired by the Netflix phenomenon. The iconic Red Light, Green Light game transforms from nostalgic memory to intense gameplay mechanic. This deadly playground features claustrophobic corridors, nightmarish mazes, and tense moments of eerie silence before the next bloodbath begins.
During launch weekend starting June 27th, Squid Grounds will temporarily replace Oasis as the exclusive Reload map until June 30th. Players will experience heart-pounding standoffs within Reload's signature format. The update introduces fresh gear including the Red-Eye SMG, uncommon Boogie Bombs, and Itemized Glider Redeploy items.
The June 27th update also wipes Ranked progression across both Reload and Zero Build modes. Your new rank will calibrate after just one placement match based on current performance. This clean slate gives everyone an equal shot at climbing the leaderboards. New players must first eliminate 500 opponents to unlock Ranked play.
