"Golden Idol's First DLC: Sins of New Wells Coming Soon to Netflix"

Author : Scarlett May 26,2025

The Golden Idol series has carved out a unique path in the world of point-and-click adventures, evolving from the historical intrigue of the original Case of the Golden Idol to the modern-day, hard-boiled detective narrative in Rise of the Golden Idol. Now, fans have even more to look forward to with the announcement of the first DLC for Rise of the Golden Idol, titled The Sin of New Wells, set to launch on March 4th.

Rise of the Golden Idol is accessible on PC and also on mobile through the Netflix Games catalogue. In The Sin of New Wells, players will take on the role of detective Roy Samson, who has been transferred to the notorious 9th District. Teaming up with his new partner Cliff Savea, Samson dives into a series of brutal murders that hint at the sinister influence of Lemurian magic.

The Golden Idol series is renowned for its innovative puzzle-solving mechanics. Players must connect words and concepts across different modes to analyze scenes, gather evidence, and construct theories about the sequence of events or draw other conclusions.

Into my mind palaceThe Golden Idol series stands out in the point-and-click genre for its commitment to introducing fresh mechanics. The approach to solving mysteries and gathering evidence is particularly engaging, and I am eager to see the new challenges that The Sin of New Wells will present.

While the series boasts a rich and complex lore, it may occasionally overwhelm new players. However, the inclusion of Rise of the Golden Idol in the Netflix Games catalogue is a significant achievement, further enhancing the platform's appeal.
