Path of Exile 2: Uncovering the Hidden Golden Idols
Path of Exile 2 features numerous quests, some less obvious than others. Act 3 introduces a unique collectible: Golden Idols. These aren't logged as traditional quests; instead of advancing a storyline, they offer a substantial gold reward.
Locating the Golden Idols
After exploring the Vaal ruins beneath the Ziggurat Encampment and traveling through a time portal, you'll find yourself in Utzaal (The Drowned City). This ancient Vaal city, at the height of its power, holds the key to your fortune.
Golden Idols are scattered throughout Utzaal and the connected area, Aggorat. They're not enemy drops; instead, they're found on the ground or pedestals in side rooms.

Cashing In Your Discoveries
Once collected, return to the Ziggurat Encampment and seek out Oswald, located in the northern part of the area. He'll gladly purchase your idols:
- Golden Idol: 500 Gold
- Grand Idol: 1000 Gold
- Glorious Idol: 1500 Gold
- Elegant Idol: 1000 Gold
- Exceptional Idol: 1500 Gold
Collecting all five yields a total of 6000 Gold. Given their high value and minimal inventory space, it's advisable to sell them immediately after discovery.
