To celebrate the release of the Gothic 1 Remake demo, "Nyras Prologue," THQ Nordic and Alkimia Interactive have unveiled a new trailer. Unlike the original Gothic, where players embodied the Nameless Hero, this remake lets you play as Nyras, a prisoner fighting for survival in the unforgiving world of Khorinis.
Released during the Steam Next Fest, the demo has already shattered concurrent player records for the entire Gothic series:

The "Nyras Prologue" showcases the remake's stunning visuals, enhanced animations, and a revamped combat system powered by Unreal Engine 5. While the demo offers a taste of the game, the full release promises a far greater degree of freedom and deeper RPG mechanics.
Gothic Remake is slated for release on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC (Steam and GOG). A release date is yet to be announced.
