Kang And Kodos Hint At Fortnite's Simpsons Event

Author : Eric Apr 09,2026

Fortnite players are buzzing with the theory that a Simpsons-themed mini-season is on the horizon, thanks to the recent in-game appearance of Kang and Kodos.

Talk of a Simpsons mini-season has been circulating all year. Speculation has grown since the recent Star Wars mini-season was officially named "Chapter 6: Mini-Season 1." Given that Fortnite Chapters typically last a full year, fans are convinced a "Mini-Season 2" will launch before the current Chapter concludes in December.

The timing couldn't be more fitting. As Fortnite launches its major Halloween event, players have discovered a glider featuring the iconic Simpsons aliens. Intriguingly, the item's description hints at a dedicated battle pass.

This marks the first official Simpsons crossover in Fortnite. The game has already teamed up with nearly every major Disney-owned brand, including Star Wars, Marvel, Pixar, and Avatar, as well as other Fox properties like Family Guy.

Reports suggest Kang and Kodos will be a free reward from an upcoming quest. This is likely a teaser for a larger Simpsons event, possibly nodding to the show's own annual Halloween special, "Treehouse of Horror."

The Simpsons recently kicked off its 37th season with an episode focusing on nostalgia and modern media. Co-showrunner Matt Selman noted the team prefers to avoid overly topical humor, citing the current chaotic news cycle.

Fans have high expectations for this potential crossover, expected to land in the same year-end slot that previously brought back the OG Chapter 1 map in 2023 and a music-themed Chapter 2 map in 2024.

Could this event revisit Fortnite's Chapter 3 map, or introduce an all-new Springfield-themed world? For now, Fortnite is deep in its biggest-ever Fortnitemares event, featuring collaborations with Wednesday, Scooby-Doo, and Ghostface from Scream.

However, last night's Fortnitemares reveal hit a snag. Rap star Doja Cat publicly criticized the use of a fabricated message, attributed to her, that referenced a sex toy.
