Gully Gangs: 4v4 Street Cricket Now in Open Beta on Android

In India, playing cricket in a cramped alley often trumps the experience of a traditional field. This unique charm of street cricket has been captured by the indie Indian studio, 5th Ocean Studios, with their latest release, Gully Gangs: Street Cricket, now available in Open Beta on Android.

Not Your Typical Cricket Simulation

Gully Gangs: Street Cricket revolutionizes the genre with its 4v4 multiplayer format, set amidst the bustling Indian gullies—narrow alleys that are a hallmark of urban India. This game marks a first in its category, offering players the thrill of street cricket with unique elements such as rooftop catches, navigating around scooters, and dealing with the occasional scolding from neighborhood uncles about breaking windows. For those who prefer a more intimate challenge, a 1v1 mode is also available.

The game enhances the experience with features like power moves and in-game voice chat, allowing players to communicate, taunt opponents, send emojis mid-match, and even execute some cheeky tactics. The settings are authentically Indian, with live neighborhood action surrounding the gameplay, including playing with broken stumps, on makeshift pitches, and dealing with unpredictable ball bounces off uneven walls.

Customization is at the heart of Gully Gangs: Street Cricket, offering players the chance to build their gang, dress them in quirky outfits, and unlock various skins to personalize their team.

Currently in Open Beta, 5th Ocean Studios is not resting on their laurels. They have an ambitious roadmap ahead, planning to introduce new street maps, fresh outfits, regular events, clan wars, and an esports mode. The game will also feature leaderboards, daily and weekly challenges, and intense gang vs. gang battles.

While the game is exclusively available on Android at the moment, plans are underway to expand to iOS and Steam. Full controller support and cross-platform play are also on the horizon. If you're eager to dive into this unique cricketing experience, you can download Gully Gangs: Street Cricket from the Google Play Store.
