Hearthstone

Hearthstone is gearing up for an exciting Year of the Raptor in 2025, filled with surprises, innovative gameplay, and fresh features. Fans can look forward to the usual triple dose of expansions, Mini-Sets, and Battlegrounds seasons, all set to launch soon. The Heroes of StarCraft Mini-Set has already received a fantastic response, and Blizzard is eager to keep the momentum going throughout the year. They've even shared a roadmap that offers a glimpse into the game's near future.

What Does the Year of the Raptor Bring to Hearthstone?

One of the most anticipated updates is the revamp of the Arena mode. This update, which has been in development since last year, is set to breathe new life into a feature that has been a staple since Hearthstone's early days, attracting a new generation of players.

Cosmetics are also getting a significant upgrade. Players can look forward to new Mythic skins, Signature cards, and an exciting new addition: Pets. These adorable companions will be part of a new system for acquiring cosmetics, though Blizzard is keeping the full details under wraps for now.

The Year of the Raptor officially kicks off with the first expansion, "Into the Emerald Dream." Card reveals are scheduled to start next week, and there's already an in-game celebration underway. By completing the Event Track, players can earn rewards such as The Great Dark Beyond Epic cards, packs from the new expansion, and a special Raptor Herald card.

What Else Is Coming?

Alongside the expansion, a new evolving game board will be introduced. The Year of the Raptor board will remain in Hearthstone throughout the year, receiving visual and audio updates with each new expansion.

The Core Set is also set for a refresh. Some classic cards will return with tweaks, and new cards will be added, promising a dynamic and evolving gameplay experience. With so much on the horizon, it might be the perfect time to dive back into Hearthstone. If you haven't already, you can grab it from the Google Play Store.
