Indus by Supergaming hits 11M pre-regs, unveils 4v4 deathmatch mode

Author : Thomas Jun 28,2025

Indus, the Indian-developed battle royale title, has officially introduced its new 4v4 deathmatch mode. This latest addition brings fresh competitive gameplay to players currently enjoying the game through its closed beta phase. Alongside this update, developers have also enhanced the audio experience with a full overhaul of sound effects and background music, adding another layer of immersion to the gameplay.

As one of India’s most anticipated homegrown mobile titles, Indus is proudly designed by and for an Indian audience. It blends classic battle royale mechanics with unique features such as the Grudge system—a clever twist that rewards players for engaging in direct combat with rivals. Since its initial announcement in 2022, the game has undergone multiple beta phases, each bringing new content and improvements, steadily building anticipation among local gamers.

The game recently reached yet another milestone—surpassing 11 million pre-registrations. While impressive, this marks a noticeable slowdown compared to previous growth rates, with the last major mark of 10 million achieved back in March. Despite this, the continued interest underscores the massive potential within India’s rapidly expanding mobile gaming market.

Originally speculated for a late 2023 release, Indus remains in closed beta, pushing hopes for a public launch into 2024. A full release date is still unconfirmed, but many eagerly await news of either a public beta or official rollout later this year.
