Keanu Reeves Confirmed for John Wick 5

John Wick 5 is officially happening, with Lionsgate confirming that 60-year-old Keanu Reeves will reprise his iconic role.

The announcement came during CinemaCon, where Adam Fogelson, Chair of Lionsgate Motion Picture Group, revealed that development on John Wick: Chapter 5 is underway. Returning producers include Thunder Road’s Basil Iwanyk and Erica Lee, franchise director Chad Stahelski, and star/producer Keanu Reeves. No release date was provided.

Another mainline John Wick installment seems like a logical move—given that John Wick: Chapter 4 grossed over $440 million worldwide, maintaining the series’ unique streak of each sequel outearning its predecessor. However, fans may question how another sequel fits narratively after John Wick: Chapter 4’s ending.
