You still command a squad of determined crabs, but this time, it’s all about strategy. Matches take place on a linear battlefield where you deploy units like standard crab soldiers, clawed mace tanks, and even catapults. The goal is simple: outsmart and overwhelm your opponent before they dominate your side of the board. For the rest of the world, the game launches globally on Android on May 30th—just three days away. Think of it as a spin-off that builds on the charm of the original while taking the franchise in a bold new direction.
For context, the original King of Crabs was Robot Squid’s first release. Founded in 2018, this UK-based indie studio teamed up with Spilt Milk Studios to bring the game to Microsoft Windows, Android, and iOS in 2020. At its peak, the game earned comparisons to Fortnite with claws, thanks to its quirky mix of humor, action, and survival mechanics.
