King of Fighters ALLSTAR: End of an Era

Netmarble's popular fighting game, King of Fighters ALLSTAR, is set to conclude its run this year. The official announcement on Netmarble forums confirms the game's shutdown on October 30th, 2024. In-game purchases have already been disabled since June 26th, 2024.

Reasons for Closure:

King of Fighters ALLSTAR enjoyed a successful six-year run, featuring numerous crossovers and engaging gameplay based on SNK's iconic King of Fighters franchise. Despite positive player reviews praising its animations and PvP battles, the developers hinted at a potential shortage of characters to adapt as a contributing factor to the closure. However, this is likely only part of the story, with other undisclosed factors influencing the decision.

The game experienced some challenges, including optimization issues and occasional crashes, which impacted player experience. Nevertheless, it achieved millions of downloads across Google Play and the App Store.

Players still interested in experiencing King of Fighters ALLSTAR have approximately four months remaining to enjoy its legendary battles and characters. Download the game from the Google Play Store before the servers shut down in October.
