King’s Raid Returns After Masangsoft Acquisition

  • King’s Raid officially ended service on April 15th
  • Acquired by Masangsoft for a full revival
  • Global relaunch details coming soon

Great news for fans of King’s Raid—the beloved mobile RPG is making a comeback. Just days after its shutdown on April 15th, Masangsoft has officially acquired the intellectual property and is spearheading a full-scale revival of the game. The acquisition was finalized on March 17th, and development for the global relaunch is already in motion.

Originally launched in 2017, King’s Raid carved a unique niche in the mobile gaming world by replacing aggressive gacha mechanics with a more accessible hero acquisition system. Its standout features included real-time 3D combat, a richly developed narrative, and stunning character designs that resonated strongly with players across Japan and Southeast Asia. Despite its loyal following, operational challenges led to its discontinuation—until now.

Set in the war-torn continent of Orbis, the game follows Kasel, a young knight-in-training, on his quest to find his missing brother. Joined by Frey, his childhood friend, the powerful mage Cleo, and the loyal bodyguard Roi, Kasel’s journey unfolds through a deep and dramatic storyline filled with political intrigue, shifting alliances, and large-scale battles.

The narrative spans two full seasons, with the first culminating in a climactic showdown and the second diving deeper into the lore of the Vespian Empire, expanding the world in compelling ways.

Gameplay revolves around assembling dynamic teams from a diverse roster of heroes, each belonging to one of seven distinct classes with unique roles and abilities. The game delivers a true RPG experience, featuring real-time PvP, large-scale raid content, and extensive progression systems through hero awakening and gear enhancement.

While Masangsoft has not yet disclosed specific details about updates or improvements for the relaunch, fans can expect a faithful yet modernized revival of what made the original so special. A full relaunch schedule and further announcements are expected in the coming weeks.
