Marvel Rivals Reveals First Official Look at Blade

Marvel Rivals' Midnight Features event unveils official Blade artwork, fueling speculation about his Season 2 arrival as a playable character. Season 1's ongoing content includes new maps, a fresh game mode, and a rewarding battle pass.

The Midnight Features quests, accessible via the in-game Season menu, are divided into five chapters, each with three quests. Completing these quests rewards players with Chrono Tokens, Units, and a free Thor skin. All chapters are expected to unlock by January 17th.

Chapter 3's reward is a Gallery Card depicting Blade facing Dracula, Season 1's antagonist. While Blade's presence in the game files had been previously rumored, this artwork marks the first official confirmation from NetEase Games. Season 1's narrative positions Blade and Doctor Strange as significant threats removed from the battlefield by Dracula.

Blade's Potential as a Playable Character:

The artwork strongly suggests Blade's potential introduction as a playable character in Season 2. Fan theories posit a Season 1 finale where the Fantastic Four defeat Dracula, rescuing Blade and Doctor Strange. Many believe Blade's optimal role would be a Duelist, potentially featuring a transformation ability similar to Magik and Hulk's ultimate abilities, enhancing his strength, attacks, and granting wall-hack capabilities.

Ultron's Leaked Abilities:

Beyond Blade, leaks from Season 0 revealed Ultron's complete ability kit, hinting at a Strategist role focused on ally support and healing. While initially anticipated for Season 1, his introduction appears delayed following the Fantastic Four's arrival. It's important to remember that leaks remain unconfirmed until official announcements.

The abundance of upcoming content keeps players optimistic about Marvel Rivals' future.
