Monster Hunter Wilds Patch 1.000.05.00 Fixes Quest Blockers, Among Other Things — but There Are No Performance Improvements Yet

Author : Leo Mar 15,2025

Capcom has released hotfix 1.000.05.00 for Monster Hunter Wilds across all platforms, addressing several key issues and improvements. This patch tackles various progression blockers and bugs, though it doesn't include performance enhancements. Despite a "mixed" user review rating on Steam, largely due to PC performance concerns, Monster Hunter Wilds' success is undeniable. The game achieved record-breaking sales, selling 8 million copies in just three days, making it Capcom's fastest-selling title ever. It also boasts the fifth-highest concurrent player count on Steam, peaking at a staggering 1,384,608 players—surpassing even Dota 2, Cyberpunk 2077, and Elden Ring on Valve's platform. This is a significant leap from Monster Hunter: World's peak of 334,684 players.

A major title update is planned for early April, promising a new endgame area and additional monster hunting challenges.
