Dedicated Pokémon TCG Pocket players have a lot to look forward to in the coming weeks. With the next major expansion approaching, the game is ramping up excitement with a series of new in-game events, including the Lightning-type Mass Outbreak!
As a reminder, the latest expansion, Secluded Springs, is scheduled to launch this month. But before that arrives, there are numerous events to participate in. The current mass outbreak increases the appearance rate of Lightning-type Pokémon in Rare and Bonus Picks.
This not only improves your odds of obtaining Lightning-types like Lanturn and Tapu Koko, but also lets you acquire brand-new visual flair for your cards through exchanges. The mass-outbreak event runs until the 31st, giving you plenty of time to dive in and start picking.
Grounded
All the standard Mass-outbreak rules apply here, including missions to earn shop tickets via Wonder Picks and collecting specific cards. So if you're aiming to expand your collection before Secluded Springs launches, this is likely your best opportunity for now.
It serves as excellent preparation for the upcoming expansion. Secluded Springs will introduce legendary Pokémon like Raikou, Entei, and Suicune, along with others from the Johto and Hoenn regions, ensuring a busy September for players.
