Pokémon GO's 2025 Roadmap Unveils New Surprises

May 2025 promises an action-packed schedule in Pokémon GO with plenty to look forward to. Among the highlights is the anticipated comeback of the Lake Trio. They're reappearing in 5-Star Raids across various regions.

What's Happening in Pokémon GO for May 2025?

Tapu Fini gets the month started in Five-Star raids from May 1st through May 12th, featuring its signature move Nature’s Madness and a potential Shiny encounter.

Beginning May 12th, trainers can encounter the complete Lake Trio based on their location: Uxie in Asia-Pacific, Mesprit across Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and India, and Azelf in the Americas and Greenland.

Once the Lake Trio departs, Tapu Bulu arrives in raids from May 25th to June 3rd, 2025, also showcasing Nature’s Madness and a chance to find its Shiny variant.

Mega Raid enthusiasts have a great rotation ahead. Mega Houndoom appears from May 1st to 12th.

Mega Gyarados follows from May 12th to 25th, succeeded by Mega Altaria from May 25th through June 3rd.

Complete Event Breakdown

The Growing Up event runs May 2nd–7th, with a Mega Kangaskhan Raid Day on May 3rd. Crown Clash takes place from May 10th to 18th, alongside the Dynamax Suicune Max Battle Weekend on May 10th and 11th.

Community Day is scheduled for May 11th, though the featured Pokémon remains undisclosed for now. Crown Clash: Taken Over follows from May 14th–18th, with Shadow Raid Day on May 17th.

GO Battle Week: Final Strike runs from May 21st–27th, followed by the May Community Day Classic on May 24th. The month concludes on May 25th, 2025, with a Gigantamax Machamp Max Battle Day.
