The cover art, now revealed, showcases the game’s protagonists and their partner Pokémon facing a Mega-Evolved Pokémon in Lumiose City under a night sky.

Here’s the official description:

Pokémon Legends: Z-A marks a bold new chapter for the Pokémon video game series, combining a rich RPG narrative set in a single city with dynamic action and a real-time battle system, a first for the franchise. Trainers will embark on an exciting journey in Lumiose City, shaped by the bond between people and Pokémon.

Fans can anticipate a range of Mega Evolution-themed products and events, celebrating beloved Mega-Evolved Pokémon. The Pokémon Center will roll out new clothing, accessories, plush toys, and more featuring Mega-Evolved Pokémon throughout the year.

Starting today, collectors can grab oversized pins of Mega Charizard X and Mega Charizard Y, alongside a curated collection of apparel and accessories highlighting Mega Venusaur, Mega Gengar, Mega Lucario, and other Mega-Evolved Pokémon.

From next month, fans preordering Pokémon Legends: Z-A at the Pokémon Center in the U.S., Canada, or the U.K. will receive a random Pokémon Sitting Cuties plush of Chikorita, Tepig, or Totodile as a purchase bonus.

Pokémon Legends: Z-A was first showcased at last year’s Pokémon Presents with a cinematic trailer depicting a futuristic Lumiose City. Initially, details were sparse, with only a Nintendo Switch release confirmed for this year and brief Pokémon glimpses. A subsequent Pokémon Direct offered a deeper look, revealing available Pokémon, new characters, and the protagonist navigating the city’s rooftops.
