Pokémon TCG Pocket’s highly anticipated trading feature has finally arrived! Paired with the launch of the exciting new Space-Time Smackdown expansion, January ends on a high note for Pokémon TCG Pocket fans.
Trading in Pokémon TCG Pocket works much like real-life trading, allowing you to exchange cards with friends. While some restrictions apply—only certain rarities (1-4 and 1-star) are tradeable, and resources like trade hourglasses and tokens are required—this is a significant addition to the game.
But the excitement doesn't stop there! Space-Time Smackdown introduces iconic Legendary Pokémon Dialga and Palkia, alongside the beloved Sinnoh region starters: Turtwig, Chimchar, and Piplup, plus many more!

The reception to the new trading feature, however, has been mixed. While the feature itself is well-implemented, the numerous caveats have led to some player frustration. Many feel the game would have benefited from either omitting the trading feature entirely or making it more accessible, without resource limitations or restrictions on tradable cards. Developers are reportedly monitoring player feedback, suggesting potential future improvements.
