Recursive Destruction Unleashed in Marvel Rivals' Empire of Eternal Night

Author : Matthew Feb 10,2025

Marvel Rivals Season 1 unleashes new characters, maps, and modes, including a fresh set of challenges rewarding players with freebies like a Thor skin. This guide focuses on triggering Recursive Destruction in Empire of Eternal Night: Midtown.

What is Recursive Destruction?

The "Blood Moon Over the Big Apple" challenge introduces Recursive Destruction. This occurs when destroying a Dracula-influenced object, causing it to reappear in its original state. Not all objects qualify; identifying them requires using Chrono Vision.

Using Chrono Vision

Chrono Vision highlights destructible objects in red. Activate it using the "B" key (keyboard) or the right D-pad button (console). Only red-highlighted objects trigger Recursive Destruction.

Triggering Recursive Destruction in Midtown

This challenge requires playing Quick Match (Midtown). Initially, no red-highlighted objects will be available. Wait for the first checkpoint; two buildings will then appear, capable of triggering Recursive Destruction.

Destroy these buildings multiple times. The reappearance might be missed in the heat of battle, but several hits should complete the challenge. If unsuccessful, replay the match. After completing this, focus on subsequent challenges featuring Mister Fantastic and Invisible Woman.

Marvel Rivals is available on PS5, PC, and Xbox Series X|S.
