Robert Kirkman Reveals Massive Invincible VS Character Roster

Author : Allison Dec 25,2025

We currently know six playable characters in the fighting game Invincible VS, with more to come. But how many is "more"? Comments from Invincible creator Robert Kirkman in an IGN interview at San Diego Comic-Con 2025 suggest the roster for Invincible VS will be massive.

Invincible VS is the upcoming 3v3 tag-based fighting game set in the Invincible universe, developed by Skybound Entertainment’s first internal game studio, Quarter Up. Characters already confirmed include Mark Grayson (Invincible), Atom Eve, Thula, Bulletproof, and Rex Splode. For more details, check out IGN’s Invincible VS preview from June.

Fresh off his SDCC 2025 panel where he announced Battle Beast for the game, Kirkman told IGN that if fans are wondering whether a specific character from the Invincible comics or Prime Video series will appear, there’s a "99%" chance they will be.

The ever-talkative Kirkman added that this revelation might be considered a spoiler.

"An incredible amount of care is being taken to stay true to the Invincible universe," Kirkman explained. "So if you're a fan of the comics or show and you think, 'There's a fighting game coming—who would I want to play as?' There's a 99% chance that character will be in the game. I'll say that much. It's a spoiler. I might get in trouble for it, but there you go."

He continued: "The final roster is going to be absolutely insane. I'm thrilled we announced Battle Beast. You simply can't have an Invincible fighting game without Battle Beast as a playable character. There are several other essential characters like that who will almost certainly be included. We have a lot of announcements lined up. A fantastic team is working on this, and I can't wait for everyone to see everything they're putting into it."

Regarding the release window, Kirkman reaffirmed 2026 but hinted, "Sooner than you might expect… but it’s next year. I won't be more specific." Interesting…
