Save Your Game in R.E.P.O.: A Guide

Author : Grace May 24,2025

Dive into the thrilling world of the cooperative horror game *R.E.P.O.*, a physics-based retrieval adventure for up to six players. Teamwork is key as you navigate various maps, locate valuable items, and safely extract them. To ensure your progress isn't lost, understanding how to save your game in *R.E.P.O.* is crucial.

How To Save Your Game in R.E.P.O.

Nothing is more frustrating than expecting to resume your game from the last save, only to find your progress has vanished. This is especially true with new releases like *R.E.P.O.*. Not every game autosaves, and some have specific criteria or locations that must be reached before you can safely save and quit. Missing these details can lead to lost progress, which is why knowing the saving mechanics is essential.

In *R.E.P.O.*, the key to saving your game is completing the level you're on. The game autosaves at the end of each level but lacks a manual save feature. If you quit during a mission or die (which sends you to the Disposal Arena), your progress is lost, and you'll have to start that level over. Moreover, dying in *R.E.P.O.* results in your save file being deleted, and exiting mid-level means returning to the start of that level.

To save your game, finish the level by delivering your valuables to the Extraction Point. Then, find your way to the truck and hold the message button above your head to signal the AI boss, the Taxman, that it's time to head to the Service Station. At the Service Station, you can shop as needed before using the same button to proceed to the next level.

Once you've left the Service Station and arrived at your next location, it's safe to exit to the main menu or quit the game. The next time you or the host (if another player created the original save file) starts the game, simply jump back into *R.E.P.O.* to resume your adventure. Remember, if there's a host, they must exit the game at the right moment to ensure the game saves correctly, which will log out all other players as well.

Now that you're equipped with the knowledge to save your game, explore our other *R.E.P.O.* guides to enhance your team's performance on future missions.

*R.E.P.O.* is available now on PC.
