Marvel Rivals players have taken to social media to express their enthusiasm for the Midnight Features event quests featured in Season 1: Eternal Night Falls. NetEase Games has been riding a wave of success, with Marvel Rivals receiving a nomination for a DICE award and being voted the top new game in PlayStation's Players' Choice for December 2024. The launch of the new season has also led to a record-breaking number of concurrent players on Steam.

As Marvel Rivals kicks off Season 1: Eternal Night Falls, NetEase Games is already setting expectations for the future. In a recent interview, the developers announced plans to introduce a new playable hero every month and a half. While Season 1 will see the debut of the entire Fantastic Four over three months, the developers have indicated that future seasons may feature less content. Nevertheless, fans are excited about the prospect of seeing more of their favorite Marvel characters added to the game on a regular basis.

In a recent Reddit post, user Useful_You_8045 praised the Midnight Features event quests of Season 1, particularly appreciating the flexibility of completing them across various game modes, such as Quick Play, Competitive, and matches against AI. This variety has been a welcome relief for many players, allowing them to experiment with new heroes or focus on challenges in a less competitive setting. Additionally, some players have expressed satisfaction with the Season 1 rewards, including a Gallery Card that offers a sneak peek at Blade in Marvel Rivals.

Marvel Rivals’ Midnight Features Event Quests Are a Hit With Fans

Players have quickly noticed that NetEase Games has enhanced the visual appeal of the event quests, making them more engaging within the season. When players access the Events tab, they are greeted with a Midnight Features newspaper where each headline and image introduces new quests. The animated images add dynamism to the Daily Bugle's pages. Although not all quests are currently available, they are expected to unlock fully on January 17. Completing all the event quests will reward players with a free Thor skin in Marvel Rivals.

The community has been pleased with the enhancements NetEase Games has made in Season 1. Notable improvements include offering two free skins in the battle pass instead of one, adding new maps, introducing a new game mode, and making balance adjustments to maintain fairness among the game's extensive character roster. With NetEase Games demonstrating such attention to detail and responsiveness to community feedback, many players are optimistic about the future of this popular hero shooter.
