"Sims 4 Welcomes Fan-Favorite Character"

Attention, Sim enthusiasts! The notorious Burglar is making a grand return to your neighborhoods with the latest update for The Sims 4. This update, now available on both PC and console, brings back the infamous Robin Banks, ready to sneak into your Sims' homes under the cover of night. While she typically targets homes when everyone's fast asleep, don't let your guard down—Robin has been known to pull off a heist even when Sims are wide awake. So, stay vigilant!

To fend off this crafty thief, your Sims can install a trusty burglar alarm. If Robin triggers it, the police will swoop in promptly to apprehend her and retrieve your stolen items. Even if you don't have an alarm, a quick call to the police can still save the day. Or, if you prefer a more hands-on approach, take matters into your own hands with a bit of vigilante justice.

Burglar events are designed to be rare, adding an element of surprise and excitement. But if you thrive on chaos, you can increase the frequency of these thrilling encounters by activating the Lot Challenge Heist Havoc.

"We are so thrilled to finally bring the Burglar back into The Sims universe," expressed The Sims team. "A special shout-out goes to our entire team for making this a reality. Robin Banks isn’t just here to rob your Sims’ houses—she’s here to steal your hearts too! What better way to celebrate The Sims 25th Birthday than with this nostalgic yet fresh addition? We hope you’re as excited as we are to see what kind of chaos Robin Banks will bring to your households."

Despite The Sims 4 being a decade old—and the series celebrating its 25th anniversary—it continues to thrive. Last year alone, it welcomed over 15 million new players. According to EA's Q2 earnings report from late last year, The Sims 4, which was initially a premium game, took four years to reach 20 million unique players. However, upon going free-to-play in 2022, it exploded in popularity, gaining an impressive 31 million new players right out of the gate and reaching a total of 85 million players as of May 2024. And while fans eagerly await news of The Sims 5, there are currently no plans announced for its release… Plum!
