Stalker 2 Side Quest: Science and Mystery Unveiled

In Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl, players can embark on a side quest titled "For Science!" This quest, triggered through interactions with various NPCs in The Zone, involves activating a second measuring device atop a silo.

Initiating "For Science!":

The quest begins at the Central Elevator in the Chemical Plant. Yaryk Mongoose, contacting Skif via radio, requests a meeting. Locate Mongoose on the first floor (easily accessible by vaulting a railing). He'll explain the need to activate a second device, initiating the quest.

Reaching the Silo's Peak:

Ascend the building's stairs. Eliminate any rodents encountered. Exit through a broken window, use an external ladder, and traverse the walkways to the silos. Be mindful of electro anomalies; equip appropriate gear. Activate the device atop the silo. This will attract Bloodsuckers.

Confrontation and Conclusion:

Return to Mongoose. He'll explain the unforeseen consequences of the experiment. Players can choose to kill Mongoose or accept the reward peacefully. Both choices have no significant impact on the game's progression. Choosing the peaceful option rewards the player with a Malachite pass (granting access to the STC Malachite facility) and some additional in-game currency. The Malachite pass is your key to accessing the STC Malachite base, unless you've already gained access through the main storyline.
