Stumble Guys is introducing its first character who uses a wheelchair.
This update was inspired by a visit from young fan Fayçal to Scopely’s offices.
The design draws from superhero aesthetics and competitive Olympiad-style wheelchairs.
Accessibility in gaming is a complex and often debated topic. Yet it’s clear that players with disabilities crave representation—and Scopely has responded in a meaningful way by adding a new character to Stumble Guys in honor of a dedicated young fan.
The character came to life after Fayçal, an enthusiastic Stumble Guys player with a disability that requires wheelchair use, visited Scopely’s Barcelona studio. During his visit, he asked why no characters in the game used wheelchairs. His question struck a chord.
Moved by his insight, Scopely developed a new skin that reflects both heroic imagery and the sleek, high-performance wheelchairs seen in athletic competitions—perfectly matching Stumble Guys’ energetic gameplay.

New additions for accessibility
As a TTRPG player, I know how polarizing the subject of wheelchairs in games can be—so avoid bringing up D&D wheelchair rules around some fans. That’s why it’s refreshing to see Scopely wholeheartedly embrace this idea and execute it thoughtfully.
This new skin clearly wasn’t an afterthought. It’s designed with care, offering players like Fayçal the chance to see themselves reflected in one of the world’s most popular mobile games.
