Facing the Congalala requires constant movement due to its size and agility. Avoid positioning yourself directly in front of or behind the beast to minimize exposure to its potent breath attacks. Be prepared for its powerful hand smashes, tail whips, and ranged breath attacks.
Focus your attacks on its breakable parts for maximum damage. Targeting the forelegs is advisable as they leave the Congalala vulnerable for brief periods. For the head, tail, and rear, wait for the beast to consume a mushroom, which is easily visible. After it expels gas from its front or rear, you can safely attack these vulnerable spots.
If caught in the fumes, use deodorant or roll through water to dispel the effects. Utilize Focus Mode and Focus Strikes to inflict heavy damage and halt its attacks, particularly effective against breath attacks or ground smashes.
