Dead Sails Kraken Boss Guide
Your journey begins in the heart of town, across from the Gun Store and Hospital and in front of the Trading Hut. Start by offloading any excess loot and arming yourself. I recommend a Rifle for its balance of cost and firepower. At just $75, it's effective against most foes, at least temporarily. Don't forget to purchase coal to power your boat's old-school engine.

The next town is 10,000m away. Simply ignite the engine and you're off. You can stop to engage Zombies and Drowned for loot, though the houses along the route don't yield much of value. To restart the ship, just add more coal. Ignore the worm on the right side for now. Wait until the second safe zone to sell your loot, and be cautious of Big Foot and Zombie mobs on both sides of the river.

After reaching the second safe zone/town, you'll encounter burning buildings teeming with enemies. Clear them if you're in a group; otherwise, it's not worth the effort due to scattered spawn points. At around 12,000m, you'll find a castle-like house filled with Drowned but also stocked with Shotgun ammo and other valuable loot. Use these resources wisely.

Dead Sails Kraken Tips And Tricks
The core gameplay revolves around the kill, loot, repeat cycle, but to excel, you need to be efficient. Utilize your boat as a mobile inventory, clearing your bag upon return to save time and space.

A helpful strategy is stacking Zombies near the incinerator. While the urge to escape backwater towns is strong, efficient loot management can be advantageous. Running low on fuel? Simply toss a few Zombies into the incinerator for a quick refuel.

Keep an eye on Sheriff's offices, which often harbor a higher concentration of enemies but also offer rewards in the form of weapons and ammo. My shotgun lasted longer thanks to a friend clearing the ground floor while we explored each town.

Conserve ammo, weapons, fuel, and medkits for the fortress at 25,000m. It's still under construction, making it vulnerable to ambushes. I suggest bringing at least three more players, ideally a full five-person team. Be efficient with your loot collection here.

Avoid engaging Big Feet after 30,000m; they're formidable, requiring a lot of ammo and posing significant risk. Plan your stops carefully; loot isn't everything.
The town beyond 50,000m is a prime farming spot, boasting over two dozen Drowned and Zombies. If you have friends with Shotguns or a Sawnoff, this is an efficient way to gather corpses for fuel. Coordinate to prepare bodies for loading quickly.
How to Defeat the Kraken Boss in Dead Sails Kraken
Before facing the Kraken, sell all your loot in the final safe zone and stock up on ammo, weapons, and medkits. Don't take the Zombies and Drowned lightly; ensure you have a minimum of 8-10 corpses for fuel during this critical phase. At 100,000m, you'll reach open waters and be ready to confront the beast. The sign of its arrival is the darkening skies.

As the Kraken emerges, everyone must target a tentacle. The boss has substantial health, and each tentacle can attack if not repelled. With a five-person team, form a pentagram-like shape and focus on your designated tentacle.

Beware of the water splash ability, which causes AoE damage. It's telegraphed by the Kraken pulling back and creating a water trail with its tentacle. Use medkits liberally here, as some damage is unavoidable.

Lastly, watch out for the Roar AoE, which inflicts minor but unblockable damage and may slightly boost the boss's damage. You'll see it as white concentric circles emanating from the tentacle.
