World of Warcraft Classic's Season of Discovery concludes with its seventh and final phase, launching January 28th. This major update introduces the Karazhan Crypts dungeon and the challenging Scourge Invasions event. Guilds can then tackle the iconic Naxxramas raid starting February 6th, featuring a new "Empower" difficulty mode for seasoned players.
The Phase 7 launch follows closely on the heels of Phase 6, which sent players to Silithus for the Scepter of the Shifting Sands questline and the Ahn'qiraj raids. The mysterious Shadowy Figure, observed during Phase 6, remains an enigma, its connection to future events yet to be revealed.
Phase 7 brings a wealth of new content:
- Karazhan Crypts: A 5-player dungeon beneath Karazhan, offering a fresh take on the familiar location.
- Scourge Invasions: Undead hordes will invade various zones, providing new quests and challenges, particularly at Light's Hope Chapel. Players can collect Necrotic Runes to purchase unique consumables.
- Naxxramas Raid (February 6th): The legendary Naxxramas raid opens, including the "Empower" difficulty setting for increased challenge. Conquer the four wings and then face Sapphiron and Kel'thuzad in the Frostwyrm Lair.
- New Runes: Rune Brokers across Azeroth will offer new runes for players to utilize.
While Season of Discovery ends, World of Warcraft Classic's future remains bright, with exciting plans for 2025 across all game versions. The long-term vision for Seasonal realms is yet to be unveiled by Blizzard.
