The Pokémon GO Tour: Unova event brings Black and White Kyurem and Shiny Meloetta to Pokémon GO!
Black and White Kyurem Debut
Following December 2024's announcement, Niantic revealed the arrival of Black Kyurem, White Kyurem, and Shiny Meloetta for the Unova Tour in February 2025. From February 21st to 23rd, in-person event attendees in New Taipei City, Taiwan, and Los Angeles, USA, can catch and fuse Kyurem. Base Kyurem is obtained by defeating Black or White Kyurem in five-star raids.
Fusion requires:
- Black Kyurem: 1,000 Volt Fusion Energy, 30 Kyurem Candy, 30 Zekrom Candy (learns Freeze Shock)
- White Kyurem: 1,000 Blaze Fusion Energy, 30 Kyurem Candy, 30 Reshiram Candy (learns Ice Burn)
Fusion Energy is earned by raiding Black or White Kyurem. Reversion to base Kyurem is free. Shiny Kyurem, Reshiram, and Zekrom have increased encounter rates.
The global event, Pokémon GO Tour: Unova - Global, runs March 1st-2nd, offering free access to all players.
Shiny Meloetta Arrives!
Shiny Meloetta makes its Pokémon GO debut! In-person event ticket holders can complete a Masterwork Research to encounter it. This research doesn't expire, allowing completion at one's own pace.
Iconic Unova Legendaries
Kyurem, Reshiram, Zekrom, and Meloetta originated in Pokémon Black and White (Generation V). Kyurem's alternate forms, introduced in Black and White 2, also learn Ice Burn and Freeze Shock. This event offers a complete Unova Legendary experience!
