KonoSuba: Fantastic Days Global Version Shuts Down, Is It Getting an Offline Version?

Today marks the third consecutive day of covering the end-of-service (EOS) for another game, and this time, it's KonoSuba: Fantastic Days Global, which has officially concluded its run. As of January 30th, the game's servers are preparing for a final shutdown. So, what lies ahead?

How Long Did This One Last?

Developed by Sumzap and initially published by Nexon before transitioning to Sesisoft, KonoSuba: Fantastic Days was indeed an enjoyable game. However, its run was relatively short-lived. The global servers of KonoSuba: Fantastic Days lasted 3.5 years, whereas the Japanese servers endured for a solid 5 years. For an anime-based gacha game, this duration is quite respectable, especially considering that revenue had been declining for some time.

The developers have shifted their focus to a new JJK gacha game, Jujutsu Kaisen Phantom Parade. Before pulling the plug on KonoSuba, they maintained engagement until the very end, releasing voiced story updates and a final song just three weeks ago. They also hosted a farewell livestream in December, featuring Kazuma's voice actor. The Japanese version took it a step further by archiving the entire main story on their YouTube channel, allowing players to revisit the antics of Kazuma and his quirky crew at their leisure. Additionally, an offline version was made available, enabling access to the game's story, voice lines, and character collection.

Unfortunately, KonoSuba: Fantastic Days Global won't be getting an offline version or a dedicated YouTube channel. However, fans can still enjoy the Japanese YouTube channel if they wish to spend more time with Kazuma, Aqua, Megumin, and the rest of the gang.

This concludes our coverage of the KonoSuba: Fantastic Days Global shutdown. Stay tuned for our next update on Karrablast and Shelmet during the February Community Day of Pokémon Go.
