Application Description

The Kiwanis Club of New Kingston (KCNK), in partnership with Grace Kennedy Money Services (GKMS) and Western Union (WU), brings you the exciting KCNK Little Bee Spelling App designed for kids aged 4 to 9. This fun and educational app offers over 150 words to learn across three engaging modes, making spelling practice enjoyable and accessible anywhere, even without an internet connection.

In the app's Settings, students can enter their name, age, parish, and school before diving into the learning adventure. With two learning modes and a competition mode, each containing 10 progressively challenging levels, kids can enhance their spelling skills at their own pace. Each level includes 15 or more words, consistent across all modes.

Learning Mode 1:

In this mode, students learn to spell by tapping each letter of the word from left to right. The app vocalizes each letter, allowing children to follow along and correct any mistakes by tapping them. To move to the next word, students must spell correctly, and completing all words in a level is required before advancing. The little bee icon at the top left lets them hear the word again if needed.

Learning Mode 2:

Here, students face jumbled letters and must arrange them to spell the given word correctly. Like in Learning Mode 1, they can correct errors and use the little bee icon to rehearse the word. Completing a level involves spelling all words correctly, and earlier levels must be finished before moving on to later ones.

Competition Mode:

This mode adds an extra challenge with jumbled letters and additional distractors. Students race against time to spell 10 random words from the level's pool, with each word's time adding to their total. The goal is to complete levels as quickly as possible, with the leaderboard showcasing their performance. Students can capture their leaderboard to share with teachers.

The KCNK Little Bee Spelling App, crafted by Bazzle Amusement (www.BazzleAmusement.com), can be reset in the Settings page. For any questions or concerns about the app, reach out to [email protected] or call 876-543-4342. Let your child's spelling journey buzz with fun and learning!
