Digimon Alysion: New Digital Trading Card Game Launches on Mobile

Author : Gabriella Apr 26,2025

Well! Isn't this a turn-up for the books? It seems that the next step for Digimon is that it's heading to mobile, and not just in a spin-off or collaboration but with a properly full-formed digital version of the original TCG. Yes, Digimon Alysion has just been announced, bringing an enhanced version of the original Digimon TCG to mobile.

Digimon Alysion was unveiled in a reveal trailer, and also has a new teaser website; although this doesn't reveal much about a potential release date. It does, however, give us a look at what seem to be the three principal characters that Alysion will focus on: Kanata Hondo, Futre, Valner Dragnogh, and the cutesy mascot Gemmon.

A closed beta is reportedly in the works for Digimon Alysion, and there have been rumblings about new and distinct mechanics to this version; something which has thrown off some loyal players looking for a pure port of the original TCG. But either way, this seems to be the next major move for Digimon as a franchise.

It's no surprise that the announcement for Digimon Alysion has come at this time, as a new anime called the Digimon Breakbeat series was also unveiled, alongside further entries in the ongoing Digimon Liberator webcomic. So while Digimon has always been the connoisseur's choice when it comes to the niche creature-catching TCG genre, these new moves could be seen as a means of pushing the name out there, similar to the old TV anime.

Here's hoping that we'll soon get more solid news about a beta and that a worldwide launch will grace those fans who've been waiting a while to scratch that Digi-itch.
