World of Warships: Blitz has rolled out its 8.2 update, introducing a fleet of high-speed vessels to the waters. The standout feature is Turbo Strike, an exciting new game mode, alongside numerous other enhancements. Read on for all the details.
What’s Turbo Strike?
In this fresh mode, respawn mechanics are introduced, allowing captains to rejoin the fray after their ships are sunk. Victory is still awarded to the first team to reach 1,000 points or complete a full base capture. However, Turbo Strike features a single dedicated map and provides consistent buff drops.
Raiddrop buffs spawn at regular intervals and can be stacked up to four times. Achieving three kills unlocks a steerable missile that players can guide slightly just before impact. Additionally, each ship class receives specific attribute boosts unique to this mode.
The 8.2 update also introduces Variable Torpedoes, a mechanic designed to reward aggressive play at close range. Torpedoes deal full damage within 0–6 km, but their effectiveness steadily decreases beyond that distance, dropping to 60% damage at 12 km.
World of Warships: Blitz Update 8.2 Brings the French!
This update marks the arrival of French destroyers in the game. The line begins with Tier V’s L’Adroit, a ship that balances potent armaments and torpedoes with exceptional mobility.
Progressing through the tech tree, Le Hardi (Tier VII) and Orage (Tier IX) continue this legacy by emphasizing stealth, rapid acceleration, and devastating close-quarters attacks.
These destroyers feature Variable Torpedoes starting from Tier VII. They are also equipped with the Emergency Engine Accelerator, a special ability that boosts acceleration, deceleration, and top speed by 25% for 10 seconds.
The update further introduces Maine, a brand-new Supership. Download the game now on the Google Play Store.
