For those familiar with the original Mask Up, a unique roguelike-style platformer, Mask Around builds upon that foundation. While the original focused primarily on 2D brawling, the sequel introduces 2D shooting mechanics. Players can seamlessly switch between gunplay and the goo-based melee combat that defined its predecessor.
However, the precious yellow ooze remains a limited resource, making strategic use crucial, especially during challenging boss encounters.
A New Face (and Still Gooey!)
Mask Around is available now on Google Play. While an iOS release hasn't been announced, initial impressions suggest a significant improvement over the original. The core gameplay remains, but with substantial enhancements, including refined graphics and more strategic resource management. The addition of weapons provides a viable alternative when your ooze supply runs low.
