CHESS TACTICS TRAINING
Elevate your tactical prowess with over 100,000 puzzles designed to sharpen your skills. The app includes both winning and defensive problem types, catering to a wide range of tactical scenarios. Premium members can take advantage of sophisticated custom sets tailored to their weaknesses, such as sets focusing on specific tactical motifs like pins, forks, and discovered attacks, or sets that revisit your previous mistakes for targeted improvement. The app also employs a spaced repetition learning algorithm, prioritizing problems you struggle with over those you've mastered. Note that while custom sets can be used on the app, they must first be created on the Chesstempo.com website.
PLAY ONLINE
Engage in chess battles with other Chesstempo users through both live and correspondence games. After each rated game, benefit from a comprehensive post-game analysis powered by our cluster of hundreds of Stockfish instances, delivering high-quality insights in just seconds. Premium members can further enhance their learning by having tactics problems extracted from their rated games, available for solving within the tactics training interface and customizable via advanced custom sets.
OPENING TRAINING
Build and refine multiple black and white repertoires with ease. Import repertoires from PGN files or by entering moves directly on the board. Utilize spaced repetition to train your repertoires, with options to focus on specific branches, a single repertoire, or all repertoires of a color. You can also limit training to a certain depth and target moves that are challenging to learn. Enhance your training with the ability to comment on positions or moves, view public comments from others, add engine evaluations or annotations, and export your repertoire, comments, and annotations to PGN. Track your learning progress with graphs showing your repertoire learning status and history over time. Use the opening explorer to select moves for your repertoire, with a depth limit of 10 moves for free members. Premium members can leverage the cloud engine for in-depth analysis of any position.
ENDGAME TRAINING
Hone your endgame skills with practice positions ranging from 3 to 7 pieces, drawn from real games. With over 14,000 different positions available, free members can access 2 positions per day, while premium members enjoy more daily positions and the ability to use custom sets. These sets can target specific endgame types, focus on positions you frequently get wrong, or utilize spaced repetition for effective learning. Note that some custom set types need to be created on the Chesstempo website before use on the app.
GUESS THE MOVE

ANALYSIS BOARD
Dive deep into position analysis with our cloud engines, a feature exclusive to premium members. This allows for high-quality analysis without draining your device's battery. Diamond members can request up to 8 analysis threads, significantly increasing the number of positions analyzed per second compared to a local engine. Set up positions using FEN notation or the board editor, and analyze tactics problems post-completion to gain a deeper understanding of the solutions.
