DC Comics Dominates 2025 Eisner Awards Nominations

The nomination list for the prestigious 2025 Will Eisner Comic Industry Awards has been unveiled. Often called the "Oscars of comics," these awards celebrate the most exceptional creative achievements in the medium from the past year.

Fantagraphics and DC Comics lead with the most nominations - Fantagraphics securing 24 standalone nominations (plus 1 shared) while DC earned 10 nominations (plus 9 shared). Wonder Woman writer Tom King tops creator nominations with 4 nods, followed by several creators receiving 3 nominations each.

DC's Absolute Universe titles feature prominently among this year's Eisner nominees.

Former IGN Comics editor Joey Esposito joins the nominees this year. His collaboration with Sean Von Gorman, The Pedestrian, earned a Best New Series nomination alongside titles like Absolute Batman and The Power Fantasy.
