Based on internal AMD polling, AFMF 2 achieved a remarkable 9.3/10 average rating from gamers for image quality and smoothness. This positive feedback underscores the substantial improvements over its predecessor. AMD is releasing AFMF 2 as a technical preview to gather user feedback and further refine the technology.

Cyberpunk 2077, running at 4K Ultra Ray Tracing with an RX 7900 XTX, exemplifies this improvement. AMD encourages players to experience this enhanced responsiveness firsthand.

AFMF 2 also boasts expanded compatibility and functionality. It now supports borderless fullscreen mode for AMD Radeon RX 7000 and 700M series GPUs. Furthermore, compatibility with Vulkan and OpenGL APIs is included, enhancing animation smoothness. Finally, seamless integration with AMD Radeon Chill allows users to set custom FPS limits.
