Applin Debuts in Pokémon GO: Sweet Discoveries Await!

Pokémon GO enthusiasts, get ready for the Sweet Discoveries event, where you'll have the chance to encounter the adorable Applin for the first time. This event is a must for anyone passionate about adding new Pokémon to their collection or hunting for those elusive shiny variants. Dive in to learn everything you need to know about this exciting event.

When Is Applin Debuting in Pokémon GO?

Mark your calendars! The Sweet Discoveries event kicks off on April 24th at 10:00 a.m. and continues until April 29th at 8:00 p.m. local time. The highlight of this event is the debut of Applin, a Grass and Dragon-type Pokémon hailing from the Galar region.

To evolve Applin into Flapple, you'll need 200 Applin Candies and 20 Tart Apples. If you're aiming for Appletun, the same amount of candies plus 20 Sweet Apples are required. For its final evolution into Dipplin, and ultimately Hydrapple, you'll follow a similar path.

A key element of the evolution process involves the Apples, which you can find in the wild. Tapping on them might reward you with a Tart Apple, a Sweet Apple, or even Applin itself. Your chances of encountering these Apples increase significantly around Mossy Lure Modules.

Did You Know?

Applin is unique in that it spends its entire life inside an apple, cleverly disguising itself to evade its natural predators, bird Pokémon. This charming trait makes Applin one of the cutest Pokémon in the entire Pokémon GO roster.

During the Sweet Discoveries event, you can also snag some new avatar items from the in-game shop, including an Applin Headband and an Applin Apron. As for event bonuses, you'll enjoy 2× Candy for every Pokémon you catch during the event period.

Keep an eye out for increased chances of encountering Shiny Delibird and Shiny Skwovet in the wild. Additionally, your odds of hatching Shiny Delibird, Shiny Cherubi, and Shiny Skwovet from 7 km Eggs will be higher.

Another delightful feature of the event is the berry drops from Delibird and Skwovet. So, if you haven't already, download Pokémon GO from the Google Play Store and join in on the fun.
