2K Games has officially announced that Borderlands 4 will retail at $70 as preorders become available.
The pricing of Gearbox's upcoming title gained widespread attention after Randy Pitchford, the studio's development head, stirred controversy with a series of divisive tweets.
Pitchford responded to a fan worried about potentially paying $80 for Borderlands 4 by stating: "True fans will find a way to experience it."
Following backlash, Pitchford clarified his remarks in subsequent tweets. We now have confirmation that the standard edition will indeed cost $69.99.
Borderlands 4 launches with three editions: Standard, Deluxe, and Super Deluxe, each offering distinct content:
Preorders for all editions open today ahead of the global release on September 12, 2025. Early buyers receive the Gilded Glory Pack, containing a Vault Hunter Skin, Weapon Skin, and ECHO-4 Drone Skin.
The Standard Edition includes the core game for £59.99 across PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC (Steam/Epic Games Store).
The £89.99 Deluxe Edition adds the Bounty Pack Bundle with four post-launch DLCs featuring new areas, missions, and bosses; four Vault Cards with exclusive rewards; additional gear, weapons, and vehicles; plus Vault Hunter cosmetics and the Firehawk's Fury Weapon Skin.
Priced at £119.99, the Super Deluxe Edition contains all Deluxe content plus the Vault Hunter Pack with two Story Packs introducing new playable characters, narratives, and regions. It also includes more cosmetics and the Ornate Order Pack with four complete Vault Hunter skin sets.
