The surprisingly affordable price tag of $39.99 might be attributed to the unique format of the physical copy. Instead of containing the game on a disc, you'll receive a "game-key card."
Note: This is a Game-Key Card
Some Nintendo Switch 2 games are distributed on cards that hold the full game data, while others, including this one, serve as a key to access the game data. The game-key card looks similar to a Switch 2 cartridge but does not contain the game itself. To play, you'll need to insert the card into your Switch 2 and download the 11GB game from the eShop. Despite this, the physical card can still be lent to a friend or resold, provided the recipient has a Switch 2 to insert the card into.
What is Bravely Default: Flying Fairy HD Remaster?
Originally launched on the 3DS, Bravely Default harked back to classic RPGs with its turn-based combat and narrative centered around a group of heroes on a quest for four crystals. The game's standout feature is its innovative combat system, allowing players to accumulate turns to execute multiple actions simultaneously. Additionally, its deep job system offers extensive customization of party members' abilities.
This HD remaster retains all these beloved elements and introduces new features, including the ability to fast forward through battles and cutscenes, adjustable encounter rates, an online mode, and fresh minigames.
