Bloober Team's twisted sci-fi horror title, Cronos: The New Dawn, will launch on Nintendo Switch 2 on September 5, 2025.
The studio confirmed the release date during today's July 2025 Nintendo Direct Partner Showcase, finalizing its launch for early September. The announcement also confirmed the game is coming to Switch 2 alongside PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.
This update was accompanied by a new trailer showcasing the Switch 2 version's performance and the myriad horrors The Traveler will face while journeying through time. While highlighting enemies, time-manipulation mechanics, and an upgrade system, the footage also provides a fresh look at gameplay following Bloober's development of last year's Silent Hill 2 remake.
"In the future, the wastelands are prowled by dangerous creatures born from humanity's remnants," the Nintendo Direct description states. "You must craft ammunition and supplies from limited resources to survive brutal enemies. But stay vigilant even after a victory—if a monster consumes a fallen foe, it will evolve into something even more terrifying."
We recently had a hands-on session with Cronos: The New Dawn and left eager to explore more of this Dead Space-inspired world. Our preview notes, "Bloober Team has expertly curated the best elements of the genre to forge a unique survival horror experience."
