New Feature Allows Players To Clear Bosses Without Combat

In the latest episode of Koji Pro radio broadcasts on April 14, Hideo Kojima, the director of Death Stranding 2: On The Beach (DS2), unveiled a groundbreaking feature designed to assist players who might struggle with boss fights. DS2 introduces an option where players can choose to "continue" at the game over screen, effectively clearing the boss fight they failed. By selecting this option, the game will present players with images and text descriptions of the battle, akin to a visual novel. This approach ensures that even players who opt out of combat can still experience the narrative depth of the boss encounters.

Death Stranding 2 Around 95% Complete

Hideo Kojima shared that DS2 is now approximately 95% complete. He likened the game's progress to a clock, stating, "It’s at about 95% now… It feels like it is 10 o’clock (PM), speaking of 24 hours, Koji Pro’s DS2 is at 10 o’clock (PM), there are 2 hours left." This indicates that the game is in its final stages of development.

Set to continue directly from the events of its predecessor, DS2 has garnered significant attention. At the South by South West (SXSW) event last month, Kojima Productions and Sony revealed a 10-minute trailer, offering glimpses into DS2's storyline and introducing new characters that have sparked intrigue among fans. The trailer also featured a character resembling Solid Snake, along with additional story snippets and new gameplay features.
