A Decade in the Making
The road to Dragon Age: The Veilguard has been long and complex, marked by significant delays. Development began in 2015, following Dragon Age: Inquisition. However, BioWare's focus shifted to other projects, including Mass Effect: Andromeda and Anthem, leading to delays and a complete halt in development at one point.
The project was revived in 2018, and after further development and a name change (initially known as "Dreadwolf"), the game is finally nearing release.
