Following a major collaboration, the top sports simulator eFootball has unveiled the second volume of its exciting partnership with the hit manga series, Captain Tsubasa. This latest installment introduces an array of new themed rewards for players to unlock, all inspired by the iconic sports manga!

As we've covered previously, Captain Tsubasa is a renowned multimedia franchise that originated as a manga by Yoichi Takahashi. It follows the journey of Tsubasa Oozora, from an amateur footballer to a world-renowned professional. This new update enriches the collaboration with fresh log-in bonuses, featuring special edition cards illustrated by Takahashi himself. These cards showcase top personalities like Neymar Jr. and Lionel Messi. Players can also acquire crossover cards that blend characters from the series with legendary real-life players, such as Michel Platini x Elle Sid Pierre or Diego Forlán x Ramon Victorino.

eFootball x Captain Tsubasa Collaboration Volume 2Footballing beyond: It's no exaggeration to say that, alongside other manga giants like Dragon Ball and One Piece, Captain Tsubasa is a true icon in the world of manga. The series arguably sparked the modern fascination with sports manga, paving the way for subsequent titles like Blue Lock, which has itself engaged in multiple collaborations on mobile platforms. Even those unfamiliar with Captain Tsubasa will likely appreciate the series' esteemed status.

In addition to the collaboration news, eFootball has launched in-game qualifiers for the eFootball Championship 2025 Open. The first round is set to run until February 6th, offering winners the opportunity to compete in the Open and vie for the title of World Champion.
