Navigating the vast world of The Elder Scrolls Online (ESO) content after a decade can be daunting. This guide chronologically lists all expansions and DLC, helping you prepare for the upcoming Gold Road Chapter.

The Imperial City DLC, released in August 2015, marked the beginning of ESO's downloadable content. While annual Chapters started with Morrowind in 2017, the release model has evolved. Here's the complete chronological list:

  • Imperial City (August 2015): PvP zone, White Gold Tower, Imperial City Prison.
  • Orsinium (November 2015): Major zone expansion introducing Wrothgar.
  • Thieves Guild (March 2016): New skill line, Hew's Bane zone, and faction story.
  • Dark Brotherhood (May 2016): New skill line, Gold Coast zone, and faction story.
  • Shadows of the Hist (August 2016): Dungeon DLC including Ruins of Mazzatun and Cradle of Shadows.
  • Morrowind (June 2017): First Chapter expansion introducing the Warden Class, Vvardenfell zone, and Halls of Fabrication Trial.
  • Horns of the Reach (August 2017): Dungeon DLC including Bloodroot Forge and Falkreath Hold.
  • Clockwork City (October 2017): Zone DLC including the Asylum Sanctorium Trial.
  • Dragon Bones (February 2018): Dungeon DLC including Scalecaller Peak and Fang Lair.

  • Dragonhold (October 2019): Zone DLC adding Southern Elsweyr, concluding the year of the dragon.
  • Harrowstorm (February 2020): Dungeon DLC including Icereach and Unhallowed Grave.
  • Greymoor (May 2020): Chapter expansion adding Western Skyrim, Scrying skill line, and Kyne's Aegis Trial.
  • Stonethorn (August 2020): Dungeon DLC including Stone Garden and Castle Thorn.

While many expansions and DLC are grouped thematically, completing Necrom and its accompanying dungeon DLC is sufficient to understand Gold Road.
