The mobile RPG Boomerang RPG: Watch Out Dude, having surpassed 1 million downloads since its March release, is celebrating with a crossover event featuring the popular South Korean webcomic The Sound of Your Heart.
The Sound of Your Heart, a long-running Naver Webtoon series by Jo Seok (with over 7 billion views and a Netflix adaptation), follows the comedic misadventures of Jo Seok and his eccentric family. The crossover brings these characters to life in Boomerang RPG.
The Crossover Characters:
Players will encounter Jo Seok, his formidable wife Aebong (who's not afraid to dish out some punishment!), his lovable father-in-law Jjaeddanyo, and Buuk Suh, Jo Seok's friend who literally sheds petals when injured.
The event's main objective is rescuing Aebong, Jjaeddanyo, and Buuk Suh from a dungeon. Successfully completing town dungeons unlocks them as playable characters.
However, beware! Aebong's evil alter-ego, Dark Aebong, awaits as the final boss. Her animations are directly inspired by the webcomic, capturing her hilariously furious reactions.
More Event Details:
- Free Characters: The collaboration characters are available for free through a 21-day attendance event.
- Limited-Edition Boomerangs: New boomerangs themed to the crossover, including a drumstick, golf club, hairdryer, and stylus, are also being introduced.
- Token Event: Collect tokens resembling kimchi, tomatoes, noodles, and chicken to exchange for unique magic effects or legendary boomerangs.
