Fortnite Chapter 6, Season 2's Story Quests are back after a brief hiatus for the Outlaw Keycard Community Quest, but Stage 4 presents a significant challenge. This guide explains how to equip the Sensor Backpack and scan Mysterious Energy Signatures.

Finding the Sensor Backpack in Fortnite

Stage 3 of the Wanted: Midas Quests requires opening an Outlaw Chest, demanding you reach Rare rarity with the Outlaw Keycard. This involves numerous vault robberies, guard eliminations, and substantial gold spending, potentially taking several hours. Upon completion, Stage 4 begins.

The Sensor Backpack isn't found in chests or on the ground. It's located behind the wolf statue south of Crime City, near the Secret Wolf Pack location. Interact with the case on the ground to equip it.

With the Sensor Backpack equipped, locate three Mysterious Energy Signatures near the backpack's location. These are marked by exclamation points atop a mountain. Interact with the glowing strings of light at each location.

While relatively close together, interacting with all three is necessary to complete the quest and earn XP. Be cautious, as other players will be completing Outlaw Quests simultaneously. Consider looting beforehand for self-defense.

After completing the Sensor Backpack challenge, proceed to Stage 5: stealing the Mask-Making Book from the Mask Maker's Hideout. Utilizing a vehicle can significantly expedite this stage.

Fortnite is available on various platforms, including Meta Quest 2 and 3.
