The Blast from the Past event in *The Sims 4* presents players with a variety of rewards, but earning them can be quite challenging. One of the tasks, particularly in Week 2, involves breaking and then repairing an object, which has left many players scratching their heads. Let's walk through how to successfully complete this challenge in *The Sims 4*.

How to Find a Broken Object in The Sims 4

During Week 2 of the Blast from the Past event, one challenge requires you to raise your Handiness level to 2 or higher, which is straightforward. However, the task that follows—repairing a broken object—can be tricky because there's no direct indicator of a broken item in your world. The most reliable approach is to deliberately break something yourself.

You can do this by selecting the “prank” option on an item, but this method requires a specific Trait that not all players might have. To avoid extra effort, the simplest way is to use an item repeatedly until it breaks. The Ambassador toilet, being one of the cheapest adult toilets available, is a great choice for this task. Using it around a dozen times should cause it to malfunction and start spraying water. This can be done by you or by inviting guests over to use it, but either way, your toilet will be officially broken in *The Sims 4*.

Once your Handiness level is at least 2, you can approach the broken object and select the “Repair” option. It will take just a few seconds to fix the toilet, stop the water wastage, and complete the challenge in the Blast from the Past event.
