New Game+ mode in Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii will be free

The holiday break is behind us, so let's dive back into some exciting gaming news! While we're all anticipating updates on the Nintendo Switch 2, today's focus is on a beloved franchise: Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio recently unveiled gameplay footage and details for Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth, their upcoming pirate-themed adventure set in Hawaii.

The showcased gameplay highlighted extensive ship customization, open-world sea exploration, thrilling naval battles, engaging mini-games, and diverse explorable locations. Goro Majima will feature two distinct combat styles: a fast-paced, agile approach and a more brutal style utilizing short swords and pirate weaponry.

Players can assemble a unique crew of allies, each contributing to combat effectiveness, exploration, and treasure hunting. The game promises hidden islands and original side quests to uncover during gameplay.

A significant announcement came at the presentation's close: "New Game+" mode will be a free post-launch addition via a patch. This is a welcome change from Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth, where this feature was initially exclusive to the pricier edition, drawing criticism towards SEGA. This positive development means we only need to wait around six weeks for the official release.
